Obituary requests by mail: All inquiries by mail must be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope and will be filled as time allows. An initial single name obituary search will be done at no charge; for future requests, we do ask for a donation of $5, and you may include up to 5 names. Please provide as much detailed information as possible with your request. Requests may also be made by email to wparker@caldwellcountync.org
Genealogy Research: Because of time constraints and limited staff, the Reference Department is unable to do more than obituary or simple article searches. For more detailed genealogical or historical requests, we can provide you with contact information with a local researcher.
Caldwell County
The Caldwell Heritage Museum, housed in the last remaining building of Davenport College at 112 Vaiden Street in Lenoir, hosts permanent and rotating exhibits featuring the history of Caldwell County. Their website provides links to historical sites, organizations, and genealogical resources in Caldwell and surrounding counties.
