Getting a Library Card
Residents of Caldwell County and surrounding counties (Alexander, Ashe, Burke, Catawba, Watauga, Wilkes) can get a free library card.
Bring proof of identity, such as Driver's license, military I.D. or some other picture I.D. and your current address. If your current address is different from your picture I.D., bring another document showing current address, such as a piece of mail or personal check.
Parents or guardians of a minor child (17 years of age and younger) may obtain a card by the same means as above. The only other requirement is that the child be present and be at least four years old.
