Getting a Library Card

Residents of Caldwell County and four surrounding counties (Watauga, Catawba, Burke and Alexander) can get a free library card. Just stop by the Circulation Desk at any of the three library branches.

Bring proof of identity, such as Driver's license, military I.D. or some other picture I.D. and your current address. If your current address is different from your picture I.D., bring another document showing current address. Recently received mail or personal check may be used.

Parents or guardians of a minor child (18 years of age and younger) may obtain a card by the same means as above. The only other requirement is that the child be present and be at least four years old.
