Jack Tales Presentation

Join us on Tuesday, July 28 at 6:00 PM as we welcome NC Humanities Council Road Scholar, Lynn Salsi, for a program on Jack Tales. Ms. Salsi will discuss the history and tales of Jack, the oldest American legendary hero, trace plot origins to various European countries, and relate modern-day Jack Tales to the significance of the Appalachian Storytelling tradition. Knit Lit in Hudson

Knitters and crocheters of all skill levels are invited to bring a current project to work on while we discuss monthly book selections. The group meets on the 2nd Friday of each month at 9am at the Local Bean Coffee Shop in downtown Hudson.

High School Yearbooks Online

CCPL has worked with Caldwell Heritage Museum and DigitalNC to make a collection of yearbooks from Caldwell County High Schools available online. Visit the DigitalNC website to view the collection.  If you have yearbooks you would like to donate, please call the Library at 757-1270.

Nonfiction Book Club

Join the Book and a Bite book club on the first Wednesday of each month at 12 noon. The club meets at the Uptown Cafe & Bakery in Lenoir. A different nonfiction book will be featured for discussion each month. Everyone's welcome!

Enjoy the magic of movies and learn more about classic films.  Join us on the first Thursday of each month to watch a classic example of a particular movie genre, followed by group discussion. Programs begin at 6pm at the Lenoir Library.
